EE ID's please?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I think these two EE's might be the same thing. One was given to me as Black Velvet, but I thought Black Velvet had white veins? The second is nameless, but I told the owner I think it is A. antiquorum 'Illustrous'. Any thoughts?

Here is a different one. When I saw the huge one, I thought it was Ruffles. Now that I see this one up close, the line near the outside of the entire leaf has me thrown. Anyone know which this is?

Mitjo thank you for your post. These are Alocasia, possibly Colocasia. The common green one that gets huge is normally sold as Colocasia esculenta, but I have also seen them labeled as Caladium esculenta. In the states, Caladiums are generally the Caladiums you posted. :)

First one looks like Magic, second Illustrous,You got me on the third, looks like some kind of Xanthosoma,by the leaf shape,or caladium.

Chele, is it one you got in the fall co-op?? you might be able to narrow it down by what was in it if so.

you asked species....

I just got these in a trade. I was trying to help the owner narrow down names for them. I have had the first one for awhile. I kept all the names with the ones I bought. Mitjo, no problem at all. :)

Thanks Root! If it was I'd as a Xanthosoma (probably butchered the spelling), shouldn't it be able to take sun (not that I have had much sun to speak of! LOL)? My melanga gets the same amount and is doing fine. This leaf looked fine until it started unrolling and that is what I ended up with.

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

cclou, those are fantastic! I love those tropicals.

Badseed, I haven't had one that color so I don't know. Might just be the change in temp and humitdity.
