I have finally settled on a landscaping plan for my front yard, but I need lots of Blue Fescue plants to complete it. I went today and looked for some, and only one place had any, and they only had 4 left, and they were $4.99 each. I didn't buy them, because if I can't come up with enough to do this project, I'm going to switch to a different plan. I think I need 20 to get the *feel* I'm looking for.
I know this is a longshot, but does anyone have any that they are thinking of composting? If so, please let me know and I'd gladly send postage for them.
If anyone has any that they are thinking of dividing, please let me know what you are looking for in trade. I'll try to find it for you if I don't have it. I'm working on a new landscape around our new house, so I don't have a lot, but I have access to a few things.
Blue Fescue Grass?
Hey Joan, even if you can't do it this year, here is something to think about. Festuca is very easy to grow from seed! So if you don't get enough plants this year, maybe you can get a bunch of seeds for next year. :) I only have three or I'd send you some.
Joan:
I started some Blue Fescue from seed about a month ago. I bought the seeds at Home Depot. It germinated quickly and is now about 2" to 4" tall. I suspect they would be taller if we had more sun.
I only planted 12 jiffy pellets but I can probably send you a couple if you would like. Like I said, they are still small...

Joan, I do have some, about 6-8 little clumps that will in no time become big clumps. let me know if you want them. you can have them for postage.
I HAVE A TON OF IT YOU CAN HAVE!!!!! email me girlfriend! :)
Thank you all!
Michele, I'll keep in mind that they grow easily from seed if I don't get enough to do this project.
Michael, thank you so much for offering. I don't want to take yours if I can get some from someone that has lots.
Pebble and Dori, you will both have mail shortly. Thank you!
Joan, I also have several larger clumps that you can have. I found out they seed themselves freely here and don't want them where they are.
