The flower on the left is Jean Pasco and the two on the right are Tropical Sunset. JP is just a little bit darker around the edges. Too close for me to keep both so I'll choose which one to keep this fall after they have both bloomed outside. Gosh, it's good to be able to post again.
Tropical Sunset seems a bit flouncier, I love it. Can't wait until mine starts blooming.
I'm like you Terry. Have to give one up this year. I'll probably keep Jean Pasko because she blooms heavier for me and has a better fragrance. I didn't enjoy Tropical Sunset like I thought I would last summer.
Terry, Jean Pasko has always been a favorite of mine because it just blooms and blooms. If Tropical Sunset does not bloom as heavy or have as nice of a scent as JP, then that would be the one I would eliminate. Also they look too much alike for me to keep both of them. I don't want to spend time taking care of something that looks almost identical to another brug.
You're right BrugNanny. I'll watch them over the summer and see which has the better scent and the best flushes of blooms.
My tropical sunset bit the dust over the winter and i had decided not to replace. this summer is much different from 2 years ago when i wanted them all, lol. there are way too many that are way too close. gotta narrow it down to the top 50.
50!!!! I am trying to get 3 to do something for me and only one is at my house. How come you all are getting blooms now? I just put mine out 2 weeks ago and it is a long ways from blooming.......
ummmm if any of you MUST toss brugs this fall (or sooner) lemme know n I would love to pic up the postage on some cuttings,---I have a homeless brungs foundation---a nonprofit charity to rescue hard to place brugs lol cheryl.
