I had been up for some days, but I must have been asleep not seeing it, but since its now there I thought I could as well post it :

I have never seen that before....conjoined twins.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

how strange but yet so cool :)

Auburn, WA(Zone 8b)

I've got one like that, too. The two stems are fused side by side until after the seed leaves where they are growing separately. It's about 4" tall now. I just took photos but wasn't able to include one here. I'll keep trying with the photo.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

wonder what the plant will turn out like....
definately something to keep your eye on and let us know...

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Neat! Which one is it?

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Tonny..LOL...I can do one better than that! I've got a sang seedling with 5 cotyledons!!! I will take a photo when I pot it on over the weekend!

Auburn, WA(Zone 8b)

Looks like picture posting is working for me now. This is my little seedling with 4 seed leaves & the two trunks fused. As you can see, it split after the seed leaves.

It's a strange thing....thats for sure!! :-)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

sewcrazy, I sure hope that was from 2 different seeds so each side will have different flowers. That woudld be too cool!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Seedlings are strange indeed. I have never seen this before.

Auburn, WA(Zone 8b)

kell, There was only one seed in each planting cell. I did not peel these, though. It really looks like the conjoined twins as Glory said. If so, it seems like it would be the same on both sides. I also do have one from the same pod that sent up two separate stems from the same seed. Could have been two beans in that one as one of my chickens lays eggs with two yolks. Things get messed up somewhere along the line. Also from this pod is a seedling that y'd at about 3 inches. Crazy genes!

(((((((((((Waaaahhhh)))))))))))!!!!!!!!! Why is it that Bruno always have one more than I have? :```( ... and (sniff!) Sewcrazy`s have one more stem than mine *lol* Great Bruno and sew crazy *lol* Your look great with the twin stem and promise to post more as it grows. Mine look like it has only one stem, so it will be fun watching what yours will do. Bruno, now we will also gain knowledge about quint-leaf Brugs *lol* He, he. Sewcrazy and Bruno, if yours are called qurat-leaved double stem and quint-leaf we could call mine too early up in the morning *lol*lol* :D It will be fun watching differences and similarities in these three and what more will show up later. I am starting to getting used to a little bit of everything now :)

All your photos of seedlings were very interesting. I only have one brug in bloom CG, it has 5 nice blooms open. My new one from Logees Pink Beauty is quite small yet, about 14" and no sign of buds. So i don't have anything to do any crossing with but hopefully I will soon. Donna

"down the Shore", NJ(Zone 7a)

Donna, someone might be willing to send you some pollen for your cross.

I have a Clivia started from seed which shows the cojoined twin effect.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

I have to wonder how the top growth will look later---different? fuller? the same? mutant brugs:) cheryl

Sorry for the delay...not feeling the best, think i'm just a bit run down!

Bruno

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Sorry to hear that Bruno! You rest up and tell your pretty GF you are not allowed to party for at least 1 week!!! Now if you were my son, I would have said 2 weeks!

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Will you tell her for me Kell? She never listens to me..LOL

Yeah...I'm tired, stressed out and have a constant head ache but i'll survive! :o)

Looking on the bright side, I've got the rest of the evening off so i can check the brug forums :o)))

Thanks Kell!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

How long have you had the headache Bruno?

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Emm...since the middle of last week! I've changed to working full time for the last three weeks...that would probably explain it! Atleast....I hope that's all it is!

Thanks for your concern Kell! I'm sure i'm ok though!

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

Yes, that could be the explanation. I used to get head aches from working on three-shifts.

btw. the four leaf seedling seem only to develop one stem :)
