I was checking the gardens yesterday and found an acnistus that had survived the winter in the ground.
Acnistus is hardy in TN
Cool!! This plant isn't one of my favorites and the Iochroma falls in the same category. Maybe that is because I was disappointed in the bloom of each of them.
So since it fought so hard to live after a tough winter, are you bringing it to Texas with you Cala?
Kell, I guess I will have to, lol. Instead of pushing the zone and trying to grow stuff that prefers to be warmer, I'll be trying to grow the stuff that needs cooler temps.
proves the old adage............. we always want what we can't have!
*lol* Kell :D
Cala, congratulations on the little surviver *lol* I will have to take a cutting of mine and try to see if I can push zones with it. It has grown immense since the spring and had two flushes and I just love these blue flowers. *lol* On moving to a warmer zone to try something that needs a cooler environment *lol* Can I ask in advance to have a sang report´from Tx by Christmass? :) Just kidding, because there are so many more plants and I just loves the idea of all the things that you are going to learn from them :)
