Caladium question. . .

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi Y'all, I have a Caladium question. Does letting them flower effect the vigour of them or the amount of leaves/growth? I got several from one of the co-ops, started them indoors and several of them want to flower. Being that the flowers are not impressive, I don't really care if they flower, but I do care whether or not I have tons of leaves. :)

When I worked for the Nursery, we would get a load of these in and we were told by the growers to cut the flowers off in order to keep the foilage going strong.
I have always done this with my own as well.
But this is just my opinion.

Unless you like the shape of the flower...cut them off. It makes for better growth.

These are the ones from Kat's bulb co-op. I started them right after they got here. Thank you.
