Golden Lady is funny, sometimes she has a yellow "belly button", sometimes she's all golden color and sometimes more like a cream color. Here is the same plant with a "belly button"

Mine has the same color...still cute.

Mine had a belly button, and then a stong wind knocked it right off. Had more pods, and one of them was all yellow.One with the belly button never came all the way down. Wish I could work a camera - would love to show you my species white, that has two beautiful skirts and another one in there too.

Is it certian plants that do that or are they on the same ones that drop all the way?

I like it both ways, but prefer it without belly button.

cc, my double white that has the other skirt in there too did not have the extra skirt last year when it bloomed.

Mine opens greenish yellow and turns to cream.

Mine has never turned the same yellow as Cala's.

Kell, I'm poor in the memory department, but I know it came from one of the gals in the south. Was it you Glory, who send GL to me? I think that is where it came from Kell. Try taking a picture with a flash and see if that brings out more color. That was something a member mentioned some time ago....that the flash will intensify the color even if used during the day.
