Its nice looking. For how long has the flower been open Maybe the color will change and it will darken up a bit, when the sun come up tomorrow?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

I really like the S. Orange. Maybe the other one will darken in future blooming. Will you try to pollinate?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Gloria, I will try to pollinate. The plant is strong enough this year. DJ`s L need seeds for his hybrid.programm.

Lol: DJ´s L are the canadian vulcnuts.........

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

wow, I wish I could grow those down here. it's beautiful.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

WOW your sang orange is a dark pink! So pretty! So is sang orange a named variety? I call mine orange sang only because it is mostly a vibrant orange but to be honest I do not even know if it is a sang at all as I started it as a cutting.

The european sang orange is not named. Yours looks like a vulc hybrid.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You know I wondered if it were a vulcanicola also a few months back because the flower is smaller than the other sangs I have seen. Remember Liz? Though I have seen ones with these exact leaves for sale about an hour from here that were labeled sang but no flowers to see.

They are both so pretty!!!!

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

Kell, another typical thing for vulcanicola and their hybrids is there is only one slit in the side of the calyx. Sanguinea open the calyx in 2-5 tips. Here is a picture to compare with Ludgers and your plants :)

Kell, yes ma'am, I remember. Do you remember when I posted the all sangs pic? I think it was the three on the right.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, I do Miss Lizzy.......... what was the 3 on the right? my sang? I will go back and look.

Tonny.......I am out the door with my flash light to check my slits!!

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Awww :o( ...I thought Sanguinea 'Orange' was orange. Tut, nevermind!

Ludger...it's an interesting hybrid, isn't it? I wonder what the exact parentage is! Looking forward to seeing it's seed pods!

rural, WY(Zone 3a)

There are a number of sanguinea "orange", have I believe 3. One that Liz gave me from seed is definately red, it is possibly my favourite one.
The other two I'm quite sure will be orange.
Ludger, your Vulkanstaub looks great, I haven't seen it before so I am impressed with the colour.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Thanks Tonny, I got very sidetracked the other night on my way out the door with the flashlight. I got to snailing in the outdoor trip. LOL. Anyway, I have 5 tips to my calyx so it is a sang????

Kell, yours is very pretty. I love the bright color and it looks so perfect.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Thanks Brugie. It is very bright! Though not real big like the other brugs. I would love a brug like CG in this color! And in Tonny's yellow and in the pinks of Ludger's above. They are such solid colors. Can you imagine 100 bells hanging down with such bright colors?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Well, we'll just have to push these guys to come up with more bright colors. It would be gorgeous to have a tree full of big bright blooms.

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

I'm so relieved Dennis! I've got a european sang orange and one from you! Is the one I got from you the red one?

Kell...here's AKA's Arborea hybrid 'Sunny'! Not as big as CG, but still something i'm definitly adding to my wish list.

Wow, those are all so beautiful. I really love the one that Ludger posted first and Kell, yours is absolutely amazing too. Let me know when you get some seeds......LOL

You guys really got me started on something here and now I just can't get enough of them :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow that really is sunny Bruno. did you order it? I love it when the skirts turn up like that. I wish I had one that did that.

So what kind of parents would make that? A true Arborea and what???? Will this one take sang pollen and pod?

You know, I was just thinking I may be changing from a pink girlie girl to a mellow yellow one! LOL. I just loved all of Cala's yellow and orange brugs she posted yesterday and this one also. Yellow is so happy!

Kell, is it just too hot to grow the sang here in the deep south? Seems your average temp is close to ours, but without the humidity. Why, I wonder, could we not grow it inside , air conditioned, and in front of a window. Gloria?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I doubt our average temps are the same Roz........LOL! Here it is about 75 in the summer!

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Hi kell...sorry for the late reply...I think my girlfriend gets jealous when I spend time with my Computer LOL

I haven't ordered it yet...possibly tomorrow!

(Arborea x yellow sang) x Arborea and useing the yellow-ist Arborea type flowers for futher breeding would make one of these! I think Arborea's my fave Brug!
