Here I am begging again. Now I'm looking for Saalegold pollen...anyone have some I can have for postage. I'd love to be able to use it on that new seedling.
Saalegold Pollen
Gloria, in some weeks you will get a snailpackage...
little buds here,not only Saalegold.
Ludger,
Great...I'd love to try the Saalegold pollen on my new little brug.
Gee Glory, I do not even know what what a Saalegold looks like!!! LOL. So what are you going to pollinate?
It will be a lottery. Not much is known about Saalegold.
The parents are supposed to be Esmeraldas x Gelber Riese, it is well flowering but the flowers dont last very long. For that reason I gave my plant to Ludger.
Monika,
If they don't last long in your cool climate they won't have a chance here with this heat. LOL
Ludger,
Do you have a picture of Saalegold you could post on this thread?
Kell,
I though I'd use some of that pollen on one of the new seedlings when it blooms again....just a thought.
Monika,
Again, Thanks...it is pretty but for some reason I thought it was more in the gold family. I did a translation and from German to English it said..Halls Gold. Is the word Halls someones last name or does it mean something else?
Saale is the name of a river and cannot be translated. Since the color is more pink than golden the meaning could be translated as somewhat like treasure of the Saale. Rheingold ( Gold of the river Rhine) is out of the Nibelungen Myths and means exact a treasure.
I understand now...thanks.
Oh, Glory, I sure hope you get that pollen and get one of those beautiful plants. I love the pink ones, and that is really pretty.
