Anyone have extra lamb's ears?

I am looking for some lamb's ears to plant around my clematis to keep their feet cool. Does anyone have some they are going to thin out?

It grows like mad at the side of the road here. I could dig you some up if you want. I have to go over there when it gets dark though........LOL LMK

LOL! I know it spreads, but I need to put some under my clematis that I'm getting from the co-op. I'm getting 9 clematis, so I don't know how much I need for sure. Do you think 3 pounds would do it?

I wouldn't get in trouble, it's on the side of the road on our property. I just don't want to dig out there during the day........I'm embarrassed........ROTFL

On the edge of where they grow starts the assistant living housing area and they always look at me like I'm absolutely insane when I go out there to dig flowers........LOL....so I do it when I know they are resting in the evening so they don't just stand there staring at me.........makes me feel uncomfortable, you know. I have some in my own yard though and will have to go dig up some more as no one takes care of that corner anyway, they just let it all go. I go over and clean it up and make it look nice again

I can understand why that makes you uncomfortable Susan. I wouldn't like people staring at me while I worked either.

now you know why I wait until it gets dark.........LOL. I have a fence in my own yard so people don't see when I work there........LOL. I just don't like people watching me........am I strange?

They are right out front where our property line ends but they are still on our property.......I just don't like all those old people who seem to gather and watch me dig......LOL

I'd hand "them" the shovel and tell "them" to dig. They probably don't get to play in the dirt and in all likelihood would love to make some mudpies. LOL :) Just think...there we are...rocking back and forth in our old rocking chairs...watching flowox strolling down the street with a shovel in her hand. And I say to Badseed..."ahhhh there she goes again. Wonder what she's digging up today". Then Badseed gets up with her cane and starts chasing after flowox swinging away yelling at her for digging up the plants. **giggle**

My mother's the manager at the branch of her bank and they have a bunch of lamb's ear in a bed out front. I asked her if I could get some of it as it's overflowing the bed. She thinks I'm crazy or something and didn't want everyone to see her daughter outside digging in the bed so I guess I'll have to look elsewhere. What a waste!
