Last fall I collected a family heirloom sweet potato. Naturally, after several generations, the varietal name has been forgotten---if it was ever known.
The tubers are setting slips, now, and their gorgeous. But I was wondering if they sound familiar to anyone (this is my first time growing sweets).
The slip stems are a rich magenta. This extends into the ribs, and the very edges of the leaves, which otherwise are a bright green.
Flesh of the tubers is a very pale yellow, and would probably classify as a white (given the color lines of white, yellow, and red for sweet potatoes).
Anyone have a clue what this might be?
