please can any one help i have quite a few hyasynths sorry do not know how to spell it,but they have finished flowering, what do i do with the bulbs in order for them to flower next year they are in containers,,,

leave them right in the containers and continue to care for them. they need to die back naturally to store energy for next year. i did this with mine last year and they were doubles this year. good luck.

thanks alot do we do this with most bulbs crocus, daffodiles, snowdrops,

Cut off the spent flower stalks, otherwise the bulbs will spend a lot of their energy forming needless seeds. Seedlings from the hybrid hyacinths seldom look good (or flower well).

yes, you need to do it with all bulbs. sometimes it takes a long time for them to die out, but if you plant annuals, hostas, or other perennials around them you don't even really notice them. good luck.
