WOW Alice! So special! I would love to spend a few hours in your greenhouse, better yet, I want to move it to California!!! With all its contents!

I am a novice with brugmansia. Did you purchase your first "Snowbank" or was it a cutting or a seed? Please advise me, as I really want to obtain one. The picture of yours was outstanding!
Please advise. Thanks, bloomsgalore

Snowbank is a patented brug. It must be purchased from a authorized seller of the plant. Here are some sellers.

Cynthia,

That first hyperlink you gave is the store that is actually owned by the person (Abuliton) who posted this picture!! :)

My Snowbanks are all grown from tissue cultured starts from the patent holder.
It's been a joy to grow them from tiny and watch them develop.

My large mature Snowbank is an awesome sight to behold.
Definitely the BEST of the variegated brugs.

Abutilon:
You have this photo for both this Snowbank AND for Maya.
Can you clarify, please.

Brugmansia:
Snowbank is reportedly a tetraploid version of Sunray (according to the description in a online seller's catalog)

Bloomsgalore:
Tera Nova Nurseries Inc. in Oregon is the patent holder of this hybrid. Terra Nova Nursery sells only to wholesale to other growers and established retailers. They clone this plants through tissue culture and the patent prohibits any form of unauthorized reproduction. I am an authorized grower and offer these beauties on Ebay (no current listings) and through my website, www.tree-frog.net For availability and price you may inquire through the website or directly to me at: sales@tree-frog.net or maintreefrog@yahoo.com I also trade this and other varieties I have varieties I do not have and would like to add to my collection.

Mainfrog ..
I do not have the same picture for both brugmansia. You did not look very closely.
Two different plants.
Snowbank this thread. And Maya/Sunset:
http://brugmansias.com/showpicture/10495/

By the way ..
as I am now more learned .."Maya" and "Sunset' are close, but different plants, too.

As I always try to do things right ..treat others right ..
I have stayed in touch with patentholder of 'Snowbank' since the beginning.
Concerning my growing it, offering it, its development .. and its sports.

His version is 'Snowbank' was developed from 'Sunset'. I would imagine his information accurate.
And why at a fast glance, you could have seen them alike.

Anyone who wishes to offer 'Snowbank' for sale or trade should respect the patentholder Terra Nova.

And yes,we also sell and trade 'Snowbank'. lol
Available at our Dave's Garden Store ..Karchesky Canna.
And at our website: http://www.karcheskycanna.com/
Our plants were received early, are mature, and well established.

Additional information ...

This thread shows the leaf and flower comparisons for above discussed varieties.
Fairly obvious all are related.
http://davesgarden.com/t/403812/

And this thread shows 'Greenbank' .. one of 'Snowbank's sports:
http://davesgarden.com/t/407406/

The patent holder of 'Snowbank' suggested to name 'Greenbank' to link its origin ..which I have done.
This plant started out 'Snowbank' to sport to all green at the top.
Though the trunk still occasionally throws variegated sports.
An odd phenonomen !

'Greenbank' is definitely not Sunray'. 'Nor is it 'Maya' or 'Snowbank'.
This pleasing large structured plant has grown to a perfect tree specimen naturally ..no pruning.
Flowers are large, lovely ..and fragrant.
A gorgeous brumansia!

Abutilon:
It appears I was mistaken in saying the photos for both Maya and Sunset were the same. They are sure close, as are the 2 plants themselves. Thanks for the clarification and thanks to all for all the other information. I have a Peaches and Cream that, from the description and photos of Maya, I wasn't certain whether I really had P&C. Maybe I had Maya. Nurseries aren’t always good at identifying plants, and many still label brugs as "Daturas” In addition to P&C I also have a Sunset and several small Snowbank, so I can see the differences in all 3, but I don't have a Maya to compare to.
