Folks, meet TikkiRo. She and I corresponded a little, then due to email problems lost contact for a while. I am happy to welcome her now to Dave's Garden!!
This is a great place and you will meet many wonderful people!

Welcome TikkiRo,
Hi
I'm TR and hail from Belfast in N. Ireland. I'm truly grateful to Frances for this wonderful opportunity to mix with you all here and also get some gardening tips. I'm 44, widowed and disabled with a whack of rheumatic and autoimmune conditions but have excellent medical/support systems in place so well cared for. I am also a Christian and am continually and wonderfully blessed in all areas of my life. My late husband unfortunately died at the tender age of 43 five years ago from his alcoholism - we'd been together for 10 years and I was his second wife, so I have now also got two wonderful grown-up stepdaughters, one of whom lives close by and the other across in Scotland. I have 4 cats - 3 of whom are handreared and one of those, Tikvah (Hebrew for hope) is my 'baby' as he truly thinks I'm his mom!!
My mottos in life are two-fold - 1 - You're going to be in pain anyway, so you may as well be in pain and achieve something for it! and 2 - Seize life by the throat and strangle it :-))).
Looking forward to making many more friends here too.
Welcome TR!! When you met Farizona you met a very nice person....she and I have become very good friends and we met here on DG. It is so nice to meet someone from Northern Ireland. (Now who else do we have from N. Ireland...I must look it up....soon....LOL)Jo
Hi and welcome!! Your name is interesting. I'm a Christian too, and I like your outlook. I usually hurt from something er other, so I might as well have fun. I post mostly on the farm forum and sometimes on the prayer forum. Jo was wondering who else is in Ireland, it is Mark.
OH YES! Mark! Jo
Thanks for the welcome everyone and apologies - not online as much as usual currently due to a flareup of my Sjogren's not to mention my fibro but have appreciated having the community here to just 'walk' through and read messages. The TikkiRo actually comes from the combination of my wonderful handreared kit (baby) who I called Tikvah which is Hebrew for hope as I happened to be learning Biblical Hebrew when I was rearing him and my own name - which is actually Romayne (emphasis on the Ro and 2 syllables not 3!)- yep, another unusual one for you all possibly. I was born in Sri Lanka where my dad was serving in the RAF and my parents were friendly with some others there who had a daughter by this name, so that was that.
You'll have to put me in touch with 'Mark' if you can!! :-)))
