Potting

Byron, IL(Zone 4a)

This is my first experience with Brugs. I have started some from seeds and they are doing well. My question is how many do I put in per pot? What is the best soil mix to use. I am in Zone 5. They will go outside once it gets warm, untill then in the greenhouse once they are larger. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with small pots and put one per pot. When they get a lot of roots, you can move them up a size and so on. Once I get mine in quart size and if the weather is right, I put them in their permanent home. Just make sure they have really good roots before you put them outside in the ground or in large pots. They will grow better. Good luck with your new babies.

Thank you Ludger. I know that I should put mine into one more size up before planting, but I just don't have what it takes to do it. I'm to pooped to pop by this time of the year.

Brugie,

Thank you for the information. I will be moving them to larger pots tonight.

Please, do not use too large pots for repotting. One size more is well.
