Sorry, can you give some more information? Date from first picture, date from second picture.

It looks to me than the top is cutted( snales or anything)and the plant try to make a new sprout.

Ludger I just took them. There is like 5-6 new leaves trying to come out right now.

I agree, it looks like something damaged the growing point and that's why so many sprouts are trying to come out.

Looks like dbl/triple leaves? My seedling does not look like that, yet, anyways. Mine has scalloped leaves, like whiskers, does yours?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Let it grow, one sprout will win. Thank you Cala, your words explained it better than mines.

Ludger, I knew what you were trying to say, lol. I'm getting used to the way you explain things!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Cala, your english explained it better...more brugnuts will understand it now.Two replies are always better than one.
Good luck with your moving to T.

Deb, I haven't gotten any of this kind, only the Siamese Twin one and Barb got a weird one too. If this hasn't been damaged then I'd better check the mountain air up here and see what's causing these weird seedlings. LOL

That is cool Deb. Looks more like little buds to me..........LOL! first miniature bloom! You will be famous.

I have one of those seedlings in my greenhouse. Like Ludger said, one side will win the battle and become the strongest. I'm starting to see that with mine, and Terry, this one isn't one of yours, so I don't think the mountain air has a thing to do with it. LOL!!

Phew! Glad to hear that Shirley. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I just planted my Yed seedling out into the garden. One side is growing faster.

Here is a picture of the base of a CDW seedling that had a "Y" when it was teeny. One limb is slightly larger than the other one.

I had thought about cutting one side off so I could have a more straight looking tree, but I think I'll just leave well enough alone and see what happens.
