Sanguineas in Florida?

Miami, FL(Zone 10b)

I was wondering if anyone has been able to grow Sanguineas in South Florida, or any location where the weather is similar to ours (warm and rainy in the summer, dry in the winter). I tried my luck last year with a few seeds, but neither of the seedlings made it. I imagine this is not the best weather for them, even though the rest of my brugs are doing great.
Thanks,
Olga

Olga,
I'm in S. Miss...zone 8b and they don't grow well here.....to hot and humid.

Olga, It just will not work here .. I've done the opposite of the folks above the freeze line with thier non Sangs and brought them into the air conditioning , desperately trying to keep humidity up with no luck.
Oh to have a temperate GH with a huge swamp cooler ! I would spend the whole summer in it! and not head for the hills or Canada when things get so horrible here : )

I've tried growing sangs in NE florida and was able to keep them alive for a few years, sadly they all died before they bloomed and just barely hung on. I can tell you that others in Vero Beach Florida have had similar luck which is a bit further south than I was.
