One that will bloom inside a house without any special care. This is a picture of the seedling that took two years to bloom. This is the second flush inside. It's LOADED with buds. I recently repotted it and didn't drop one bud.
This will be a keeper for me. It's nice to have the blooms and fragrance inside. Looks like the color is a light yellow, seems to have a nice shape. Wonder what it will do when outside?
Kristi
You have to love this quality in a brug-
Hi Datdog...There's something I really like about those flowers...but I just can't put my finger on it! They're yummy!
Kristi, its wonderful that you can get it to bloom inside. I hope to learn that some day *lol* It may surprise you, when you put it outside, because the summer heat can change both color and also to a lesser degree the shape. The flower will probably be bigger and the color from white to any other color, but blue. I could be mistaken here *lol* It remind a bit on an x insignis, but what ever it is I like the versicolor character in some of the shape and the long pointed tendrils :)
That is neat Kristi, I like it! Maybe someone can tell from where it might have come?
Thanks! It's nothing to brag about, but I like it. Plus it was my first seedling to bloom ever. I'm not sure where the seeds came from. I recd. them a few years back from the GW. I didn't keep track of who it was that sent them. I didn't even start them until after I had them for over a year.
The fragrance on this plant is about to run us out of the house, it's VERY strong, almost over powering. It's just exciting to me to have one that WILL bloom under normal house hold conditions. Usually in my zone I don't see blooms until July the earliest. Last year I didn't get any blooms until right before the first frost.
Can you just box up some of the fragrance and send it to me? LOL Very pretty!!
I'd just like to have one blooming right now, in the house or outside. Will be quite a while yet for bloom here. I'll bet you are really enjoying this one. Kinda makes you think that spring might really be here or at least close.
I'm not so sure spring is around the corner Shirley. We are dropping to the low 30's tonight. Got my dolly out and brought all the plants back in the garage. Getting SO old.
This is what I like about this brug- might be a plain Jane- but blooming inside is such a bonus for me. None of the others except Peaches & Cream (who set buds twice, then dropped them) will bloom inside for me.
lolol blooms indoors?---I would be estatic just to have blooms outdoors!!! best i have is a brug in bloom for my wallpaper on my comp....:S
Sure brag Kristi! It looks great to me. And you sure grow great brugs indoors!
