I need to know what format you guys use in Germany for pictures so I can send the grandady (opa) pictures of his new grandaughter.
Help needed quickly
Perhaps an email to Barry might get the quickest response? - sorry I can't help
Great news :)
thanks but have no clue who Barry is.......LOL
Oh, sorry - Wintermoor http://davesgarden.com/members/Wintermoor/
HTH (He'll help if he can I'm sure)
oh, now I know :o) Thanks!!
I'd guess jpeg is pretty worldwide
that's what I thought and I sent some that way. I emailed barry and I guess I'll find out if her dad can't open them. Thanks again, I need to go to bed. I'm beat, it's almost 4am here. I was there for the entire birth though and it was just awesome!! Good night and thanks again for your help :o)
Why would people in Europe use a different format for pictures? ;)
I wasn't sure Evert as I had a cousin in Germany who was telling me that he couldn't open .jpeg files. It's a long story behind the whole thing that I'd rather not go into but I somehow figured that he was just saying that. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why it would be different but wanted to make sure :o)
I went ahead and sent them all in .jpeg format. Haven't heard anything back yet though
I see. Usually pics are jpg, not jpeg. Wonder what's the difference between them?
As far as I know jpeg JPG and jpg are all the same thing - just different ways of writing it.
I can save in any of these on my puter with the same result
It worked fine :o)
I sent them in .jpg format and he was able to open them ok. He was so happy to see his newborn grandaughter :o)
So pleased, thanks for letting us know
