A big hello from new york

new york, NY

hello everyone I'm pretty new with houseplants but I'm loving it.I can't believe what I've been missing! I have a small collection but any recommendations for new ones would be great

Wow, another member from New York! It's so good to meet you and glad you joined DG, the best garden site on the Internet -- and the warmest extended family I know of.

Welcome bluesky! You can add your city/state to your "location" (look under "Preferences" in the right-hand column - in the About You section.) That will help other New Yorker's find you!

Glad to have you gardening with us!

Hi everyone thank you for taking the time to welcome me.Terry I added my location but now I have a stupid newcomer question. How do I find out what my zone is?Thanks

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Welcome bluesky! I'm waving from KY.
If you click on the blue words, they will take you to information about them.Zone is one of those words. It leads to a link where you can find your zone and understand what it means.Any word that is highlighted in blue, here in the Garden is a link. You can even click on the NY beside your name and find other members in NY.If you hold your cursor over someone's name, you can see the date they signed up too.Lots of cool stuff that Dave does for us that isn't waving a flag for you to see it.

Crossville, TN

Welcome, Bluesky.....you are going to love it here....You should plan to attend the DG Round up in Cooperstown, NY...you would meet some great people....just go to the Round Up Forum and check it out!! Jo
