Very nice Aloe pic you got there "Lophophora" and flowering at a surprisingly small size (or so it seems in the picture)
I believe the common name for this Aloe is 'Tiger Aloe' and also 'Partridge Breast'.

Thank you PanamonC!

In the literature (that I have), A. variegata is discribed as small growing, but here in Japan most nurseries select and breed for compactness, so that may be a factor...
Actually, because of its vigorous offsetting, clumps do get quite big - but horizontally ;)

From what I read the Tiger Aloe has a leaf length of up to 10 cm and height of up to 30cm (must be the flower stalk)and surely is small compared to many others in the genus. Aloe 'Pepe' is one of the smallest I know of, I got one somewhere on my windowsill if I just can find it behind all my other plants there LOL.

I just saw the name Kanniedood used for this Aloe (must be some Scottish/californian hybrid *G*), I much prefer that to Partridge Breasted Aloe.

Yeah I was wondering too about that 'Partridge Breasted'common name. Guess must have been a hunting gardner who gave that name ;)

Hmmm....

The only partridge breasts I've ever seen were sauteed lightly in a berry wine sauce. Yum.
(They sell Aloe juice here in health food stores. Yuck.)
And Tigers are in India...
So, since I consider myself a Canny Dude, I'll go with the S. African...

;)

The picture looks like it was lost when the server failed; maybe you could upload it again and ask the administrators to remove the "broken" one.
