Greetings ~
It feels like ages since I've had time enough to sit and... well, just sit. It was really a pleasure and a blessing to be able to have a little peace and quiet and hang out here and catch up on everyones' lives. Many blessings to all of you!
I can't believe it is April and the weather is still cloudy and rainy. Total bummer for the local strawberries, but the corn folks are celebrating not having to irrigate early, I'm sure. Bing cherry season is supposed to start soon. No wonder farmers are a spiritual and/or religeous group - the whole way of living depends so much on faith.
Heading to Nashville and Cookeville and Sparta and Crossville and Monterey, Tennessee on Thursday. Going to find a little, ity-bitty older home on a few acres that we can use as our "stepping stone" home when we move to TN - Wow! NEXT YEAR! Not looking forward to 2 mortgage payments (Thanks to the One Upstairs for blessing me with a good job so soon after being laid off last year so that we can continue "the plan"), but so excited that the plans are coming together. We are taking our DS this time - it will be his first airplane ride. The girls have no desire to leave the 'burbs. My mom will hang out with them while we're gone, but I think that the girls will probably be looking out for her more than her taking care of them ;-)
Hush-puppies and catfish, here I come! Do hope the Sonic Burger places still have "Peach Pie Milkshakes" - I'm still in withdrawl from our Memphis trip last year!
DH bought a presure washer yesterday. Needless to say, everything is sparkling this morning. I'm surprized he hasn't volunteered to wash the neighbors' fences/driveways/cars/windows/dogs! Thank goodness his "toys" are tax deductible (in theory, he bought it to wash down the tractors at work so he could take the mud off of them before taking them apart... ).
Take care, everyone.
Karla
