Yes, they prefer a tropical climate. The heat of zone 10 is ideal, but they do need a dry period during dormancy, followed by a rainy season to get them going again.

They're typically available from January until June as rhizomes, and May through Aug-Sept, as live plants. We don't ship Internationally, but you may search Plant Scout for Curcuma, and either find someone locally, or someone that will ship Internationally
