Hi,
My little Rosamond brug is constantly getting holes eaten from its leaves. I spray it with water every few days and pinch off the holey leaves, but it still keeps happening, and I don't even see any bugs... I've separated it from the other brugs I have so the problem won't spread.
Any ideas how i can get rid of this? I prefer an organic method if anyone knows of one.
Thanks alot - Julie
Help with Bugs on my Rosamund youngster
Julie, you are probably dealing with either a caterpillar of some kind or slugs. Hand picking is the best way to deal with them. Go outside tonight with a flashlight and see if you can see anything. Slugs usually leave a slight slimy looking trail. They only feed at night as far as I know. Other than than, I have no clue.

Hi Julie,
are you shure it are bugs and not snales or slugs? even inside one can be in or under the pot.
When darkness is wait some hours and watch your brug. May be you will see the animal.Use a flashlight.
To the other members: I am shure we have had this problem months ago, how to find it?
May be it could help Julie to read it.
Julie, Shirley are probably right. Catapillars usually can be found elsewhere on the plant, usually on the undersides. If it was a solo or just a few slugs, they withdraw to sleep during daytime and return to the plants during thenight and eats away. Sometimes you can see if it was a slug, because there would be a dried track that look like like if you have dried a bit of the white in an egg, but there will be a colorplay in these rests also as when a car spilled oil on the driveway. If you don`t find any catapillars there could be one or more slugs hiding under the pots or under other plants close by your Brug.
Lol, Shirley I did need some minutes more for writing.
Lol again: Julie you see: Two brugnuts one thought.
Hey, Ludger. It probably wasn't the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last that two or three people have posted at about the same time. At least we covered the slug information.... LOL!!
Thank you Shirley
