Check out the below write up on a ebay add I found this a.m.
This is the best European hybrid that has come to the general public for many years. Large double orange fragrant blooms all summer long. These are large rooted cuttings ready to be shipped directly to your door for a full summer of blooms. Order now. Give one as a gift for a friend, too.
Hey someone is getting 'Herrenhauser Garten' to bloom!?
That is what all the write ups say about it, more or less. I'd like to see a picture of one here in the states full of blooms, or even one bloom for that matter. If I knew someone having good luck with one now, I'd try harder, but no blooms this summer, means COMPOST!!
I have to agree. I haven't heard of anyone in the States having good luck with blooms on HG. If there is someone having luck with it I wish we knew who it was as we could find out their growing conditions.
Waiting to hear what I am doing wrong, also. Lots of buds, fell off both times, never moved the plant from the same location, lot of light and warm, so tell me if it needs lot of dark and cold????
No advice from me LOL. Mme Blin and I got rid of HG a long time ago.

Keep us informed, John. Ludger managed to have at least one open flower and was able to pollinate it. We are looking forward for better offspring.
That would be great, something like it, that blooms better.
just gave one away, I'd rather someone else fight to get it to bloom:)
I had a start of it, but it died. I don't think I'd waste my space or time fooling with this one. I want a brug that will reward me with LOTS of blooms all season long. My growing season is to short.
I'm still thinking about a Halfway house for unwanted HGs',I could rent a big truck and travel around the country picking up all these misguided children,LOL!!!
I had a slew of HG started....I was hoping to get something spectacular from this one as well. After pulling apart a multitude of blooms to find deformed almost non-existant stigma and a few failed attempts I must confess I gave up. HG seems to like the heat from my limited experience with her. I sure would like to see some of that orange color mixed into some aurea types though.
Rooty can you teach the big truck to fly...? I have three very large HGs and some smaller ones,if not better blooming this year...Hello Frost and kompost.
I pollinated HG with an aurea...I also am waiting..
The flying Rooty Brug mobile. What a sight that would be going through the skies.Instead of a UFO it would be a UBM = unidentified Brug mobile. LOL
That's funny! Can just see it now.
LOL!Ludger I may just try to get it to fly!sounds like that may be easier then getting HG to bloom, this will be my first year with one,so I still have lots of time before I get frusrated like everyone else.
hey Bob,
Kell got the PBM--> propagating brug mobile. and now u got the UBM! wonder what's coming next? brug satellite LOL!!!
