Maya pods

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I tried crossing this to a couple of different pollens but the only ones that took was EP. Will be interesting to see what they will look like.

One of my favorite brugs. Such a strong grower and good pod setter too. I had tons of pods on mine last year and I didn't even pollinate any of the flowers. I'm assuming it was probably Dr. Suess since he was so full of bloom at the same time and right beside Maya. Didn't keep the mother plant, so will never know except for a pod that Kyle let go ahead and ripen. I grew 5 of the seeds and so I'll see what happens. Hope you get something unusual from your cross. Peach and pink ....... hmmmmmm!! Wonder what it will be?

It is even more interesting, if there will be seedlings with chlorophyll, without it or variegated. I had seeds of a variegated Tiara mutation. The seedlings were big and strong but all white. They all died after a few weeks.

Snap Terry...except mine are all x L'Amour! Hopefully someday we'll be able to compare our seedlings !

Terry, as Monika said I also wish you some green seedlings.
Most of my Mayaseedlings have been white and went. But it can work, one seedling is green it is Maya x HG, I donīt care whether it will bloom one day, lol.

Forgot to say: First seedpod 2003 I saw, thank you for sharing.

The Maya X ? seedlings that I have all came up green and are doing well. Don't you just love the looks of the variegated buds?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Shirley, watch them! I love all variegated at Maya,..
Hopefully green Mayaseedlings will show variegations one day.

I love everything about this plant. It has a beautiful shape and flowers freely. The variegated buds are cool too.

How is the scent on the varigated Brugs?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Rooty, Maya is smelling very very good. A little sweet, a little vanilla and citron but not overpowering, hard to explain in words, just nice.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I agree, Maya smells wonderful. I put Bert pollen on mine.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Now, that should be a good cross. I just can't wait to get them outside, growing, and smelling good.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Wish some green or variegated seedlings to you.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Cala, I wish you variegated seedlings with some chlorophyll. Maya x Bert is a good cross.

Thanks Monika, I noticed yesterday that Maya had one of those "sport" things on it, a whole sprout with no chlorophyll in the leaves.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I saved last years sprout. Usually I cut them off in the fall. It has a large Y and flowered last year. The flowers were smaller. There is a thread with a picture of it here at daves.

Ludger...That's Beautiful!

I sure wish it would stay that way on it's own and have dark pink or peach flowers! and that it was in my yard:)

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Sorry to say: The white leafes donīt look good for a long time. Soon they will become brown, but knew ones will come back.
Smile, the flowers turn to peach/apricot...I will try to catch a picture next days.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm sure it has a rough time. Would love to see it with flowers:)
