Babies everywhere..lol..this is my neighbor's little girl enjoying the day yesterday. Too cute.
Evamae, thank you for noticing me missing too. I think everyone is just so busy lately. I do check in but usually don't have time to post. Thanks also for the recipe for the mints, I might try making them with goat's creme cheese...mmmmm!
We did the dirty deed of dehorning a couple of days ago. It was awful. I ended up not helping Jesse because I didn't have the guts..lol...I am a wimp. The neighbor walked over to help. I stood about 5 feet looking the other way with fingers in my ears. As each baby was finished, it was handed over to me and I comforted it as best as I could. They forgave me in about a half an hour. They acted like nothing ever happened. I was talking to another neighbor this a.m. about how I didn't enjoy doing the disbudding and she reminded me how important it was. She told me they just lost a 5 month old doeling that was stuck in the fence. The doeling pulled so hard all day long that by the time they came home from work the doelings horn was ripped from her skull and she bleed to death. When she told me that, I felt better.
Our Farmers Market will open in a couple of weeks, I've been smoothered under with planting and potting. I am looking forward to the opening day, but not getting up so early..lol...I hate this new time, I just can't get adjusted.
Yall have a great day, it is a great day to be an American, God bless!
