Wanted: Snowball bush

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I am looking for a rooted Japanese snowball bush (Viburnum plicatum) for my sister. To trade, I have a bright pink hardy hibiscus(3 yr. old bush, not a cutting), red twig dogwoods, mixed daylilies, mixed tall bearded iris, black-eyed susans, sweet william, monkshood plants, bergenia, passion flower vines(not up yet),(hosta) Sum and substance ,(hosta) Twilight, and bleeding hearts. I also have variegated petasites, but I would need to transplant it into a pot, for a couple weeks, before mailing. It always seems to sulk, when I first dig it.If you have a decent size snowball bush, that could use a new home, let's try to work out a trade.Thanks.

I have old snowball bush(hydrangea), large white balls.
It is not up yet. Where are you? I am in Lima, Ohio.

Hibiscus,I'm in central Indiana, but I'm afraid that's not the one that I'm looking for, and I didn't get the name right, either. It is viburnum macrocephalum. Thanks, anyway.

Never knew the name of mine, except we call it a "snowball" bush. It might be the same one? It is hardy.

Hibiscus, the snowball bush that I'm looking for is pretty much leafed out, here in IN., zone five. I have a hydrangea(Anna Belle ??), that has similar blooms, that is just beginning to leaf out. I have found a trade, for the one that I'm looking for. Thanks.

Ok, Dee. What does the one you are getting, look like? Maybe I NEED one! ha

Do you still want a Turn of the Century hardy Hibiscus? They are not up here yet. Just starting to be spring, expect some freezes yet..

Here's a link to a pic.(scroll down)The bloom is almost the same as the hydrangea, only not as large, but the leaf is different, and it is a whole lot hardier, here. And, yes, I'm still longing for a "Turn of the Century"!! I've only seen them in pics, but I think they are beautiful!

I'll be.......the leaves do look different, but flower sure looks the same. Mine is VERY hardy, have had it over 40 years, some winters -21 degrees.

I had two extra T. of Century rooted last year for trades, planted them in the ground last fall. If I can find them. Otherwise will root you a couple this year, soon as they are up. Will let you know, DeeS.
