Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

One of my favorite brugs! Just noticed it was getting buds today. Cute how they are variegated.

TOO COOL,I did not know the bud would be variegated!

datdog, I've not had much luck with finding the right spot here in south FL. for mine ... Even our morning sun seems to burn the white part.... full shade it just sits there and refuses to grow! I love it too , but about ready to toss in the gardening glove and send the dang thing to RootDr!!!!!!

How about that! I never noticed my buds being variegated, guess I never gave it much thought and didn't look at the buds before they opened. Will have to start fertilizing mine to get her started with blooms.

The seed pod is striped too.

Really Monika, the seed pods are striped! Just like in streaked hostas! NEAT! I'm going to have to find some pollen ASAP! Thanks for the reminder.

Gee, Brugmania, it must be the heat and the sun together! For here I grew it in full sun all day and it was so happy. It usually is in the 70s though. that must be the secret.

the buds are cool, I never pollinated mine so I haven't seen the pods yet.
