in Germany. The sun is shining in Greenhouse....lol.
A new seedling opened.
Frost is back
Yes, there are advantages in having a warm house to protect against the frost. Nothing like a sunny day inside, when the weather is roaming on the other side of the glass :) Well, I will refrain from asking what Brug it is, but I certainly like those deep cut edges and it seems to be loaded with pollen as well.
Pretty chilly here right now, but the greenhouse is warm and toasty. Pretty brug Ludger. I hope we all get warm weather soon.
It's been frosty & still snowing here. Pretty bloom Ludger. Wish I could smell it! It looks arborea-ish...
Shirley, I am hoping, too. The GH-Heating is running like crazy. It is crazy weather here...
This afternoon I missed a turkey, I thought the fox has caught and I looked for her. I have found her with 16 eggs under herself...........under a bush.
I am very worried about the coldness here.Last years the turkeys have had eggs in late may.
Hope I will get some chicks, wish luck to me.
Poor Turkey! I hope she manages to keep those eggs warm.
Poppy, the brug is smelling like citrus and vanilla. It was a fun cross, I need to croos back for making shure what it is.
I just watched the "breeding" lady, she is tame. The eggs are warm, may be it will work. She is sitting at a place where no winds are.
Is it a domestic Turkey? Take a picture of her sometime. I'd love to see her. We're lucky to see wild turkeys on our drive home from work in the mornings. They're there almost every day. What a site they are!
Nice surprise to find her with eggs. Hope she will take good care of them and if she is like most mothers, she will only leave the nest when necessary. If something happens, it will be nature's way. Everything happens for a reason even if we don't always understand why.
It is a domestic Turkey. I will take a picture on Thursday.
We must meet again in the pet forum, lol.
Ha! And just when I was wanting to say more about turkeys.
People raised wild turkeys and left them loose here, you could hear them honking, one was in my flower/small bush garden, scared it up, it couldn't fly, so ran through the flowers, nearly scared me to death, as it had such a big body, not like a baby bird.
To get back to your picture, my first guess was an Arborea. It is beautiful. Bet it smells good.
I just love arboreas!
We have wild turkeys here also evidently. I just saw one here for the first time awhile back! I was so shocked. One came over here from the marsh a few blocks over. It was searching a neighbors lawn for food I guess. I almost had an accident when I saw it. It was so big. Very exciting!
Its cold here too! Last night, it has been -9°C and the third night with -1°C in the summer GH. Good that I breed for robust plants LOL!
That sounds like a tough one Monika. I am glad that your Brugs came through the cold nights. So did they make it without leaf and bud damages?
