I have my brugs packed very well and hidden amongst all the clothes going to Turkey. I think they should survive, becuase after all, when we ship them all over the country, they are in transit for 3-4 days, sometimes more.
I have them packed like we would shipping here, but then, I put the whole thing in a plastic bag, I hope it doesnt get moldy, I didnt want it to be seen if they do a check entering Turkey. My DH will definately think I am crazy...
Wish me luck, these are Brugs that I got from a dear, kind and generous DG friend in California and a cutting from one that Kell had sent me last year.
!!! oh yeah - and wouldnt you know it, my double has 5 buds on it, I will miss the blooming of this spectacular brug.
I will let you all know how they journey goes for these beloved brugs.
packed brugs heading to Turkey
Good Luck Pebble,Have fun,You got Dave packed in with the Brugs?LOL,bet that is where he would want to be.
LOL - I have Dave packed in a book, I know how much he enjoys reading, besided I didnt want him too close to the brugs, for fear of the intoxiating effect the brugs would have on him, and he might just jump out at customs and make a fool of himself and me too....not to mention tipping them off that I am smuggling brugs....
Have a safe and fun trip. Hope your brugs make it okay. Will be looking forward to hearing from you once you get there. Hope you will send a picture or two.
hope you make it okay! and that the kids still have hair:) love you, be careful and we'll be waiting.
Have a safe trip pebble. Hope all goes well.

Wow Pebble......what an adventure! You sure have a great spirit for living life to do this so happily! I will sure pray for your safety and happiness in your new home. Can't wait for some pictures.
Wishing you the best Pebble and I know it will be so nice for all of you to be reunited as a family again. When you get settled in, let us hear from you.
Best of Luck in Turkey, Pebble! I hope everything goes well for you! And sure, if it doesn't you can allways come live here in Ireland..LOL!
Best wishes always,
Bruno
I am here...the brugs made it very nicely here. they didnt even open my bacgs in customs here, however, leaving the us they opened every single suitcase, the TSA, and not in my presence.....
This is truly ideal weather for the brugs. I dont know if thye will make it till I get back here, I dont think my husband will take care of them, the pharmacy takes up all of his time, he doesnt get home till after 10, and leaves at 7, I cant ask him to water them, so will give them to a friend here and hope she will take care of them...
I'll write again when I return home
thank you all for your kind wishes..
Ludger, we spent only an hour or so in Frankfurt...
If you can, post some pictures Pebble. I would love to see them. Turkey has been so much in the news, I would love to see your new home area. thanks

I guess I have not been keeping up on things either! Moving to Turkey?! Good luck in Turkey with your new business....send pictures!
I'm new enought to DG that i didn't realize you Pebble were moving to Turkey, and actually I still don't quite understand what is going on with you and your family, because above you say you hope your brugs survive until you get home, are you going somewhere else too. Sorry to be so slow in figuring out what you all are doing, Donna
she's visiting this time but they are moving there. Her husband is opening a pharmacy. He's from Turkey and she grew up there.
Hello dear friends, life is good here....the pharmacy is having the grand opening on friday, it is a loveloy pharmacy. I have taken some pidtures, but the internet connection is funny here and I dont mean "ha ha"...
I'll tell you one funny little story and hope the connection doesnt interrupt....
the first morning we were here, we told michelle about moving, many of you will remember the drama we went through with hher, well, she is actually excited and things are looking good on that front. we were smoking on the balcony, I finished and came inside, michelle stayed out there, and I was inside doing my hair, and she comes tearing into the house, mom mom come here, you wont believe this, there is a camel in front of the house....,i ran out and sure enough, there was a camel, i had forgotten how they travel by camel here, and they have them for the tourists to ride, this one i think was one of the latter. well, i ran inside to get my camera, but by the time i came back out it was gone. she said, no one back home will believe it...well, she is right.
what a way for her to be introduced to our life here....it was great!
well that's it folks, I had better post this so that I dont loose these ramblings
thanks for your good wishes, I'll post again soon
wonderful!!! I'm glad she's excited, that makes things so much better:)
love ya girl
Pebble, donīt smoke too much..lol.Remember last postings we have had. You told a nice story to us - thank you.
I wish the best to you and your family.
