Cheryl, I'm not sure but from the color of the stem I think what you have is a purple datura. Maybe someone else can jump in here with more information. Brug seeds have a corky layer on the outside. Datura seeds are smoother looking.

SHIRLEY--YOU MEAN I GOT ALL EXCITED FOR NOTHING--I HAVE YELLOW DATURAS MY PURPLE SEEDS ROTTED--MAYBE I MESSED UP WHEN I LABELED THEM--I PLANTED 250 DIFFERENT SEEDS

Cheryl, don't worry. When you come to the roundup, I'll have some brug babies for you. Datura are pretty too. I love the double purple, white, and yellow dats.

They look like the dbl purple Daturas. Yellow one has a lighter stem

Cheryl, please keep us posting about these purple dats.
They do look a little different to mine, I would like to see more pictures in future.

You are lucky! I haven't even started my datura seeds yet........as usual I am so behind!

Me too, still trying to get tomatoes started. Maybe eventually I will start Dats. Have been starting all kinds of Brug seeds.

Cheryl, Your seedlings look just like my double purple daturas that I started. I have repotted mine and moved them to the grow lights in the garage - - and they have taken off. I just hope it will be safe to put them in the ground before I need to repot them again.
