bronson, IA(Zone 4a)

ITS SUPPOSE TO SNOW HERE IN IOWA--MAYBE UP TO 1 FOOT OF WET-HEAVY SNOW--ICK--IM WORRIED IN WILL WRECK ALL MY FLOWERS THAT WERE READY TO BLOOM--WILL THEY STILL BLOOM OR WOULD IT BE WORTH IT TO COVER SOME OF MY FAVORITES---ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???

If you can cover with buckets, pots, etc. it might keep them from breaking. Covering with blankets will just make them bend over more, especially with wet snow on top. If it were me, I'd probably just let them go and hope that Mother Nature wouldn't be that mean.

That is what I did the other night Brugie. After telling you no way we would have another frost here, 2 nights later there was frost talk and the winds were howling. I had just planted 2 very special brugs that were about foot high. I went out and put heavy plastic buckets over them that you get at HD with a rock on top of that to keep them from blowing off. And it worked! They were not wind damaged.........and we got no frost!

Cottosnag,
We are crying here about 46º here I think Tuesday night....Roz maybe we should listen to what these poor folks are having.
