Someone is always watching -

southeast, NE

Have to tell you what happened early this a.m. DH went out at 5:30 a.m. to do chores/check cows. Our walkout basement faces the adjoining road. As he's putting on his clothes, he noticed a car on its side with two teenagers standing next to it talking on a cell phone. His intentions were to walk up there and see if they needed help. He then noticed them opening up the trunk and started throwing cans into our field. He did chores and then he noticed another man with a truck on the road next to them. He walked up there and asked if everything was okay and if they needed help. They said they were fine. And then dh told them to go into the field and pick up the cans they threw out there. They just grunted at him. Of course, they didn't go pick up the cans. He got back into the house and called the Sheriff. About 10 minutes later the sheriff showed up. Of course, I just had to watch what was going to happen. After a little while, one teen got into the truck and one was in the back seat of the Sheriff's car. I wonder if they learned anything? Like don't litter, don't drive under the influence (I'm making an assumption about that one) and they probably were driving faster than they should have. I do have to admit now I'm a little paranoid and hope they don't come back and do something to get even. However, my husband and I get so tired of people covering for drunk drivers and people using our property for garbage dumps.
