Pond pump

montgomery, AL(Zone 7b)

We have a 50 gallon pond with a 2 gallon cascade. In one year we had to buy 2 pumps for it. They were Lowe's Little Giant pumps. I won't buy theirs again. Any ideas which one we should get? I don't want to have to buy again this year.

I like the Rio's for my small ponds. They are inexpensive and hold up well. My oldest one is three years old and still going strong. I've purchases all of mine at Graystone Creations. The owner, John, is very helpful if you have any questions. Fast delivery too. www.greystonecreations.com.

Email John and tell him what your setup is and he'll recommend what pump size you need. The prefilter is sold separetly, get one of those, it will filter your pond and protect your pump.

Branka.. guess I'll do that but I have a filter.. just need a pump to make it work. My filter worked very well before.
Thanks

Branka, I have ordered a pump from Graystone Creation. I did mail John & got the one he recommended. It is larger than I thought I needed but trust him. My old one was 200 GPH. This one is 382 GPH but I can cut it back if I need to. I'm sure John knows which one would be best.
