After much research I decided to give it a try. I started on Feb 4th! I followed the two week induction without much problems, then I moved onto a modified version of Atkins. A plan that I new would work for me. Since then, I've gone from snacking all day. To eating real meals! Healthy meals with fruit and veggies! No processed food, NO SUGAR! no pastas, no bread, anything HIGH carb I avoid. I now eat more vegtables then ever before in my life, I eat fruit twice a day, and I eat seafood and some chicken (but not everyday-I'm also NOT a big fan of meat) I'm NEVER hungry! This has also made me aware of how much through out the day I would eat, just to eat! With two young kids in the house I had LOTS of things to snack on. I've also given up diet pepsi (the hardest thing by far) now I drink about 80 oz. of water a day.
With this low carb (about 30-60 carbs a day, will increase adding some whole grains) way of eating my skin is blemish free, I don't have wild mood swings, I'm never tired in the middle of the day. Best of all, I've dropped TWENTY POUNDS! All of this without effort. Yes, it's taken some will power to not eat certain foods, but to tell you the truth, I'm fine without them. I finally feel like I'm in control. Something I've sorely been lacking for about a year in a half. Just thought I'd let you guys know how it went! Hoping to continue this low carb way of eating and stay healthy!
