Beautiful! I love this kind of begonia!! Have you tried the Dragonwing Begonia? It is a cross between Angelwing Begonia and Wax Begonia.

I like begonias too. They are so fragile and have wonderful colors! I have a Dragonwing Begonia as well. But most of all I am pleased with my Painted Leaf Begonia.

Oooohh! What does that look like?

Just look on the "Rex Begonia, Painted Leaf Begonia" page. I have a begonia similar to the one in the first photo. Presently it has about 40 leaves, reddish-brown with light green. If it is in full sun the leaves are almost brown. The flowers are similar to those of the Wax Begonia. And I am looking for an Iron Cross Begonia. There is a special site on Begonias. I will send you the link.

Oh, I have a couple rex begonias that I just got this winter. One of mine is doing great and the other not so hot! I didn't realized they were called Painted Leaf too! Thanks for the website! Have you tried tuberous begonias? Wow! I had one last summer and it bloomed continuously and looked so lush all summer!! Thanks again,

Tuberous begonias - not yet. But I saw some photos and they are really wonderful. I imagine it was a real pleasure to see it the whole summer.

Eliza,
Do you leave all of your Rex begonias inside in the summer? I was wondering if they would like to go outside in the shade? What do you think?

Unfortunately I cannot place them outside since I have no garden. They are in my office on the open window sill in the shade. My office is a real greenhouse with about 150 plants.

Wow, you have a Jungle in there!! I guess you have lots of oxygen in your office!! What's that dark green plant right behind you on the top? It looks very happy there!!

Sorry for not answering until now. The plant you are asking about is one of my Tradescantia's. I have four Tradescantias including a Zebrina. Commonly we call them Telegraph Plants. The one in the picture is especially beautiful since its flowers are in clusters.
