I was standing in line at the grocery today and picked up a copy of a BH&G mag. I think the cover said Roses on it. Well, while wrestling three of my five little ones, I quickly thumbed through it. Somewhere in the center of the book was a two page spread with a lady pruning a rose in a huge and awesome garden. Low and behold, a huge Brug jumped off the page at me. It was a large golden yellow flowered one. I am always suprised to see them anywhere but here! LOL I'm sorry to say I did not buy the magazine and don't know anymore, but I was truly surprised. Guess you'd have to know where I live. :)

LOL Shirley!! I asked for it, didn't I? :) Seriously, I know of one other person here that grows Brugs. I have never seen them, but my doc told me about it when he saw one of my Dats and asked if it was a Brug. Apparently she has several of them nine feet tall and tops them each year to bring into the conservatory. I have yet to find out what she has but I do know she pitches the cuttings. Wahhhhh! I will be excited to see how my Brug babies do this year, and have lots of new Dat babies to fill in just in case. LOL
Should be a good year for all of us. Hope all your babies are beautiful. I know those little girls are!!
I try not to buy magazines in the checkout line. BUT!! BHG has one out right now called Garden Rooms. I didn't even have to open it because right on the front cover is a great big brug. I've never seen a brug cover on a magazine before.
Badseed another copy of BHG magazine..one on home gardens I think(there are about 10 different BHG magazines) had a large golden brug on the cover..right in the center of the pic! I saw it yesterday at Lowes.

It is the Garden Rooms edition--and inside they called it a trumpet lily!
I subscribe to BHG and have not received my April issue yet. Is it the regular magazine or a special garden edition?
