Frost damage

I haven't been outside yet but it looks like I may have had a little frost damage last night....my Maya has some sad looking leaves and so does a Ursline(sp) x ?. I'm sure those leaves will fall off and new ones will return. I'll let y'all know more later.

I did bring Snowbank into the garage before night fall.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sorry to hear that Glory. How cold did you get last night? We were suppose to get down to 26 but only made it down to 31. I don't have any brugs planted out yet. But did leave some outside to 'test' the waters. They are fine this a.m. Another cold night tonight then maybe it will be the end of it.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Cala had snow yesterday after it being in the 80s!!! She had frost damage also this AM. What a shame!!! And you do not need this added stress Glory!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Oh so sorry Glory! I woke up to snow this morning. The roads were very icy this morning coming into work just about lost control of my car - only did a half of a spin out. First time that has happened in a few years.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh Gloria!!! it got to 25 here and we spent all yesterday moving things in. hope the damage isn't bad.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Gee, sure hope you didn't get much damage. I woke up this morning to about 4" of new snow. Looks like winter doesn't want to let go down south this year.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

I am sad to hear this, Gloria )o:
I hope your brugs recover ..not too much damage.
Always disheartening when these things happen )o:

It snowed here yesterday and today.
Blizzard like squalls when I went out this AM.
Hard to drive in. But at least the roads have been warm enough so far to not ice.

Hoping the is winter's last hurrah.
hoping, hoping...

Hope the damage wasn't too bad. What a crazy winter/spring you are having back East.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Gloria, I had frost night before last but my grandkids and I had put everything back into my temporary area that I am using for a greenhouse. I hope your frost damage is not too bad and that everything recovers soon. We have had wonderful weather the past couple of days in the low 70's.

Well,
It looks like a lot of things got bit but I'm hoping most all will recover. Most of my coleus look sort of sad....after I babied them all winter in the GH. Roz has more and she already volunteered to start me new one....isn't she a doll? My Species and Shredded white have those frosted burned looking leaves now so does most of the Brugs ....I'm sure they will put on new leaves.
Sorry to hear Cala had a lot of damaged....I know how sad she must be today.....Roz also got a lot of things burned.
I really don't know how cold it got last night....AOL said it was supposed to get to 38º but never mentioned frost. I have lived here for almost 10 years and have never had frost after March 15th...guess there is always a first.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sorry to hear all of you had so much trouble. I just don't take chances up here. Even tho we may get to near 80 degrees this week, we still have a month that could produce cold weather for us. Hope everything comes back okay.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Glory, I am sorry to read this. I hope all your plants will survive.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

That is so sad to hear! I wouldn't think it would still get so cold in your zone. See what I know. :) I still have not taken mine out. Our evening temps have been in the 40-50s but it seems every weekend we dip back to the 20-30s. Ack!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Glory, I am so sorry. Hope the damage will be less and all your plants will survive.

Albany, GA(Zone 8a)

Glory,

Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

montgomery, AL(Zone 7b)

It got to 31° here .. I put some in the shed & laid a sheet over the rest. Most looked fine today but the coleus I was given didn't look too good. I covered things after dark & missed a dalia & it didn't look to good.. it is the only one I had return this year. The butterfly bush looked like it was pouting but it never died back all winter so guess it is new leaves & hope they will be OK. I hope we have a small greenhouse next year. It may just be a cold one but should help. We will probably end up with some kinda heat in it on real cold nites. I hope it warms up soon. I'm afraid to plant till it does. We always seem to have a cold spell about now & then it turns HOT. Glory I hope all of your plants will be OK.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

We got down to 26º a couple of nights ago, now back up to 70's & 80's during the day and upper 40's or 50's at night. I hadn't put anything out yet, we usually get an April Fool's freeze sometime around now, even when the temps have been warm for several weeks.

Hope everyone's plants will be okay.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Our high today was 31...its 18 now.........
