that they use for seeds? I need an inventory page and then a 'sent to' page. anyone out there that can help me?
does anyone have spreadsheet?
I don't have one but if it would get me organized I could use one.I have no clue what I have in my seed box
well, I hope to start using it for my personal seeds, but I need this to keep track of the BGI seeds so want to start out doing it right!! if I don't have it where I can pull up something, I get lost:)
my personal seedbox plan? for now, I sent out some to newbies, I have out what i for sure want to sow, and the rest are going to get tossed out in a worked up bed and what comes up comes up. Gotta start fresh sometime:)
well, I didn't find this on first search, but did find this page. I downloaded the excel file, I'll let you know if it's any good! http://users.anet.com/~manytimes/page39.htm
tiG, Please keep us posted. Sure sounds like a good idea. I've kept the link until I hear from you. Thanks.
It is really easy to make a spreadsheet, especially in Excel! You all should play around with it and see. :)
I took the one above and just changed everything. so basically I could have done it myself :) lol!
I have this massive box of seeds and you're right in saying, something should be done to organize it! Going to try it! thankyou, E.
I just found a spread sheet in Microsoft WORD. Looks pretty easy to work with.
I've started my own in Excel. Speaking of seed, what do you do with those that you don't start? Keep them in the fridge? Keep them in a box in the closet? Start them all at once? Just wondering.
you're supposed to start them??? oops, that's what went wrong
I found a site called www.mygardenjournal.com It's software that you can temporarily download and try it out for a month. It has a place to enter your seed inventory and your plant inventory. I really liked it and after my 30-day trial period, I paid $19.95 and got it permanently. There is only one fee, but if you have a problem, you can contact them and they will help you anytime after purchase. It's the cheapest and best software I have found yet. I just wish I could find one that easily and cheaply that had a landscaping map that I could put in where my plants are.
Nice woodspirit1! I'm going to give it a go. Thank you for posting that!
:-D
I saw that too, but I'm cheap:) A spreadsheet in Excel is working real good.
I've only used Excel once and I suppose it could be easy because you can name the different fields whatever you want. "Mygardenjournal" also has places for notes, tips, weather, reminders by date, etc. Anyway, it works for me. But I'm cheap too, tiG and it took me about 3 months to come up with the extra money for it. There's not much "extra" around here, lol..
I started to download the trial and was afraid I would like it too much! LOL!!
I think I may download it as my Excel sheet wasn't exactly as I wanted it. Kept wanting to add fields, comments, whatever.... Thanks for the info woodspirit ~ I'll have some fun playing to see if it works for me.
lol tiG. Morph let me know if you liked it
Will do, Woodspirit!
Okay, just finished downloading and playing with it. I love it :) Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Hi woodspirit,
Thanks for the info. I'm downloading the program as we speak! Morph you were a bit of an influence!
Thanks
koko
I have also downloaded the program and have filled in the seed list part. It is easier for me to use than trying to use Excel. I always have such a time with it! Thanks for the tip. If I like how it prints out, I will probably purchase it.
Now.......does anyone know of an inexpensive program for landscaping????
