Jody, that is a really pretty hosta and a great shot. Must be from last season. I sure don't see any slug damage. My hostas are just barely peaking through. Donna

Actually, I just took that pic March 8. I cheated, it was in a pot so I woke it up early and it's happily growing in the greenhouse :) ... I couldn't wait, hehehe. I don't have much of a problem with slugs here, don't know why, but not complaining.

Root, now would be a great time to divide them. Hosta can be divided just about any time, but you will have more uniform clumps if you can divide before they start leafing out a lot. I'm hoping that mine won't be leafed out much when you come up here so you can divide them and take some with you.
