Darcy the rabbit dog(Beagle)

Our Darcy is about 9 months old now and is really trailing the rabbits. Yesterday evening she caught a small one maybe a month to 6 weeks old and brought it to the yard to eat. It wasn't dead and Shad got it away from her with little trouble. She must have a very soft mouth. Anyway the baby bunny appears to be fine and we have it in a small cat carrier hopefully recovering from the experience. If it lives I'll release it in a few weeks far from the house. Darcy was so disappointed that we took away her first catch that we know anything about. She was praised and told what a good girl she is but that wasn't the same as getting to eat fresh rabbit. Dog food just isn't the same.
