Where is everyone?

Been kind of quiet here for the last few days....everyone must be busy in their gardens?

I for one am getting things ready for the FL plant swap.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I'm here Glory at least for a few mintues.LOL
Been busy the last few days planting flower and veggie seeds and putting seedlings and last years cuttings in bigger pots.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

that's what I'm doing too, and making room for DD and family, they start moving in tonight. Watching buds set on a Cotton Candy clone, I can't believe I will have flowers so soon. Y'all may not hear me whine at all this year:)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

I am here too but I have been so busy for the past couple of months and have not spent much time on the computer. Now that things have settled down a little, I am working out in the garden and I am just overwhelmed with things that I need to do outside and inside as far as spring cleaning. I have been potting up seedlings in gallon pots and I am just thrilled to see them grow so much. I really don't mean to be neglectful of all of you but I guess it is just that time of year now and everyone is so busy. Glad to hear that everything is going well for all of you.

Calera, OK(Zone 7b)

I try to check in every day to learn the news from everyone but most of my time is spent outside pulling bermuda grass. I have flowerbeds to prepare and it is amazing how the grass and weeds have taken over everywhere. The extra rain has really let them get ahead of me. Well, I have to get back to it. I have daylilies to plant today.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

I've been here - it's still too cold and miserable here to do much!! A couple of nice days, then snow...(cold, snowy, windy this weekend...)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I'm here. We have had a week of good weather, sunshine. Am moving some things ouside, carefully, will have to watch for frost and get them back inside. Also, in moving things out, I am finding out what an accumulation of junk I have in backrooms over the winter, trying to get that mess cleaned up and discarding things I have kept. Just as sure as I throw something away, I will need it.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

lurking, but busy getting ready for FL plant swap, working(real job), cleaning outside, will have 1st brug bloom next week, more next month. Brugs have done much better since being outside for the past 2 weeks.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I have been busy potting and moving part of the plants into the summer GH. During day, its nice warm and sunny but nights are still cool. Supposed to cool off from sunday on but who cares, I finally woke up LOL!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I've been here too. It's tax time so I've been spending the mornings working in the office. Only 5 more weeks to go. I've been moving plants in and out of all the nooks and crannies that they've been parked in.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I've been in and out. Keeping busy transplanting brugs and other flowers. Got 210 plants this morning in the mail that I had to pot up. Out of room now........and still have tons of stuff coming. Beginning to get stressed over it all.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh my gosh! 210 plants and you have already potted them up and you have more to come. I would feel a little stressed too. . . LOL. Miss Brugie, I thought we had talked last year about slowing down a little.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

210 plants??????

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Wow Shirley!!! That would stress anyone out.Hope you find the room to put everything.

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

Well, good buddies, I, for one, have been coughing my socks off. I seem to have acquired that nasty bronchial [deleted] that is making the rounds in this part of the world. The Spouse has it too, but much worse than I do. I dont' think he slept much last night, he was coughing so bad. We doctor with some OTC stuff, and it works for awhile. This, too shall pass.

On the up side, I was invited by our local garden club to speak to them yesterday about my greenhouse. They were impressed, and even more so when I took a guest along with me. Glory, I took your cutting of Jessie Noel you sent me last year, resplendent with her 5 huge orange blossoms. The "oohs" and "aahs" when I carried that pot into the room, well, ya should have been there! The last time it bloomed it was more lemony yellow, but this time they are an orange-orange. What color is it really?? The plant itself is probably over 3 feet tall. Doing well, I'm glad to say. :>)

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Hi Anna_Z...It's here in Ireland too...My niece and nephew have had it and now my Mam has it...I really hope I don't get it!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Wink wink, I am here, too. Am very busy in restaurant and GH.
Today I repotted some new alley trees and took cuttings for posting. Also I prepared some seedpackages. I finally want to post all spoken things.Spring is coming and some friends here are waiting.

Anna, hope you will feel better soon.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I ain't done nutthin!!!LOL I am inherently busy this time of year with work and the yard...For the first year in ages I really think I'm ahead of schedule.YEA!!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Good for you Kyle. I am behind schedule, as usual. Am waiting on the unpredictable weather, to put plants out or keep them in. I know if I put them out, we will be getting freezes up until May, so will have to move them all back inside, sigh............

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Glad to see you here Kyle. I'll bet that greenhouse is looking really pretty now.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

brugie..the greenhouses at work are full....no room at the Inn!!LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh, that sounds familiar. Been saying that myself for days now.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

I'm here for a few minutes each evening.Otherwise running to keep up with all the spring stuff.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

I am here right now. Usually check in early morn and night.
I've been putting in some really long days lately though. LOL

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

I have been pulling and spraying WEEDS.

I check in and read the posts but am busy working and very busy trying to repot seedlings and take care of way to many brugs.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Glory......all this from my comment to you yesterday! Now we know!

Alice, we know where you have been, buried under all your beautiful blooming brugs and supplying us with such great pictures.

I am so glad to see you here Kyle. I have been thinking of you. I was about to email you a hello! So I will say it here! Hi Kyle......hope you are doing well.

and Brugie, when you told me you had gotten your lantana and verbena today, you did not tell me it was 210 plants!!! Oh my goodness................

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie , you sound like me: I put in over 300 caladium bulbs last week end. By the way, the stuff you sent me last year is doing so well now for me. Planning on planting that blue bonnet passionflower tomorrow. All the brugs are good too.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hi Roz, sure glad you have great weather for planting. We are going into the freezer for a couple of days, but next week is looking good. Just can't depend on it staying warm until May and even then it gets chilly. Glad your brugs are doing well. 300 caladium bulbs is a lot, but I'll bet it will be beautiful. I'm like Kell. She said someplace that she can't wait for the pictures of this summers gardens.....me too. I'll bet your place will be a blaze of color.

Anna,
Jessie Noel tends to get orange in the winter....it normally looks like this.

Jen

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Jen, I hope everything will be okay. I think of you every once in a while. Miss you and your posts. Hope you can get back once in a while when time permits. Take care of yourself and your family.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I have been checking the posts each day, but this is my busy planting time. I have been planting Brugs, Brugs, and more Brugs.

Patricia

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie, I cannot make the seeds from this year's Tacoma Stans germinate; I think it is because we had an early freeze and I was anticipating another, so I went ahead and picked the pods. I am going to try last year's; I know they are good, but don't know year old seeds will germinate.
anybody know?

Hey, Jen. Good to hear from you.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I've been working tons of OT so we have spending money for our Alabama trip next week........I read all the posts and am really thrilled so many newbies are getting into this.....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Roz, don't worry about me. I saved my plant that you sent and it is still hanging on. I started some of the seeds too, but they are only about 2-3 inches tall and they seem to quit growing. I'm hoping that when the greenhouse gets good and warm next week, that they will start growing.
