Anyone know how to germinate the seeds for tropical water lilies??
How do I plant tropical lily seeds??
They're sprouting!! I can't believe how tiny they are. It's hard to imagine they'll become real waterlilies. Thanks for the link TwinLakes!
You are very welcome. Hope you will post back when they actually flower so we can learn how long it takes.

Hi folks, where could I purchase seeds?
That would be PoppySue's area. I have never grown them; just help her out with the info.

OK Sue,where did ya get the seeds and how did you grow them?
and how are they doing???
I got them from the Fragrant Path. Their info is in the Garden Watchdog. It was $2.00 for 25 seeds but I think there was a lot more than that in the pack. They're a deep pink tropical lily.
I soaked them first and cleaned off the little skins on the seeds. Then I planted them in a foil baking pan with natural Kitty litter as the planting medium. I covered them lightly with sand and made sure the water level was kept above the soil line. I have about a dozen or more sprouts now. They're still teeny weeny but they're hanging in there.
