Good Morning Farmers.
Lazy me is sitting here with a cup of coffee catching up on the forum . Hubby is out busily feeding the animals.
I decided last evening to take a spin on my tractor. I wanted to show the old girl to my brother. I told him to meet me at the creek crossing. Well, it used to be a crossing (and we hope to fix that). It is right below his house and I have to drive over my row crop land in the bottom. Almost got there when I sunk like a rock. My front end loader made it heavy in the front. Lots of gadgets to get used to! So my brother had to pull me out with my Dad's old 3010 John Deere. We had fun talking. He fussed at me to be careful with my new toy. He was so scared I would flip the old 8N on a hill. I told him look, It's got a roll bar like you wanted me to get! It also has a seat belt. He didn't want me to go home via the highway , even though I have lights and he had to go home the back roads with no lights. Always the big brother. He really liked my tractor though and made mention that it would sure be easy to clean out his barn with the scoop. Some of the door ways aren't too high in my brother's barn, so he was seeing if the roll bar would come off.
Jewel, this tractor was made mid 1980's. No cab , no CD, no air conditioning. Just new to me I guess.
A top priority today is to get off a plant trade. Then it can't hurt to chit chat with the Post Master and remind him that he promised me cuttings of Harry Lauder's walking stick. He grew his tree from a piece in a floral arrangement someone gave him.
