Sounds like some tough stuff going on for some of you. Hard to watch sick animals suffer or a neighbor having such trouble.
On a happy happy note. I have a "new" tractor. It's a Ford 5610. It's a 66 HP, so nice. Less than 500 hours! We traveled about two hours and went to a farm auction yesterday. We thought the tractors would be auctioned at noon. Ended up being auctioned at 3PM. It was dark before we got home. Didn't get it unloaded until today. It has a Westendorf front end loader and scoop. We got lots of weight for counterbalance. I got it stuck right off the trailer! Hubby couldn't go to the farm auction with us. My friend bid for me. It is so confusing how they did it. First they auctioned the tractor and then the loader. but then they auctioned them both together and if that brought more than the tactor and the scoop separatedly , then that person would get them both? Don't know if I explained that well. but you get the idea. confusing. I got them both! hehehe... well, me and the bank... There are so many possiblities of things we can do now that we have this kind of tractor!! pretty exciting for us. Don't want anyone to think I'm excited or anything. :) Hubby and I are going to the local farm store and get some pins, etc... Then stop by our favorite little chinese restaurant. Since he has changed his hours at work our time together is pretty precious.
And what beautiful weather! Planted some flower seed today. some collected seed from last year. a summer poinsettia, and something my elderly neighbor lady called cinnamon vine? I know the summer poinsettia is a euphorbia. and also I collected some rue seed from my daughter from last year. I think they should have been cold stratified. Hope they germinate. We'll see.
ok, going back outside to enjoy the day.
