How is Species different from Knighti? I like this one much better than my c. Dbl. White.

Hamilton, Canada

Glory congratulations, now lets hope that you get the first north american double pink!

Snow,
I don't know what the difference is my Knightii died.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Mine too, think spidermites like it better than Species?
Do not think I will be rying Knightii again.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Thanks. I guess by the sound of it I'll be better off hunting up a Species. I bought one last year and it wound up being a M&H when it flowered.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It has pretty flowers. Keep my fingers crossed for you.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

On your species Glory, on all the buds, do all the inner blooms drop like in your picture?

Kell,
Yes...the inner flower drops. Once in a while I'll have three skirts on it. Species does super this time of the year in my neck of the wood...not to hot or to cold.

Here is a close up of one of the flowers.

Kell,
Here is another picture..notice the slits in the flowers from pollination and tags hanging from the flowers.

Snow...I'm rooting a few Species cuttings in gel packs right now. Their roots are just about ready for potting up in soil. If you want...you are welcome to them as soon as we warm up around here.

What a beauty. Definitely on my wish list. Anybody got a cutting, or I would love to be put on a list for later.

I've heard Knightii throws out some very nice hybrids....If memory serves me the guys at Native Habitat used her a bit. I'd like to experiment with this one myself a bit as its a wild hybrid...never know what you might get.
