A morning in the woods

I put a description of my wonderful sunny morning in the woods in the european forum http://davesgarden.com/t/376436/, but thought I'd put the Wood Anemone and Primrose photos here too, for those of you who don't visit the european very often

Your photos are beautiful. I have the wood anemone planted at the base of several pine trees. They can be invasive but in the right setting that's exactly what is needed. One year a wild turkey took a liking to the flower buds and ate them before they opened. Hopefully he will stay in the woods this year. It will be a month or more before we see their blossoms here.

Great photos - thanks for sharing!

Very pretty Philomel. The Wood Anemones aren't out just yet here but I've seen some of the Primroses blooming.

Thanks all :)
Interesting that your anemones aren't out yet Debby. I'd have thought you'd be ahead of us if anything

I must admit I don't expect to see Anemones out until last week of March/early April time, they might be hiding from me of course!
