Ok guys here's my dilemma. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START!! I'm having some grading done to my "yard" in the next couple of weeks and then......? Please help me get started

In over my head, Tina

Hey Tina, Welcome to Dave's from another Newbie (end of Feb)
the only problem that you will find here is that it is an ADDICTION!

As for your dilemma, as long as you're getting the grading done--get some good dirt! Watch that they don't move any good loam away, or have em move it to the right spots!

Take some great advice--start small! Do your front of the house beds by watching the sun and exposure. Then you can start dreaming of Island Beds as you go along.

You sure came to the right place! Look at the Co-Ops and Round-ups for buying and swapping plants and seeds, too!

Good luck, have fun, an "see ya around"!

Hi Tina, we met on another thred and on cht tonite. welcome!

I am an old experienced gardener, but also starting from scratch since we built a ne whome last winter.

We already owned the land, so thank God we already have a few trees, but not huge ones.

And then the beloved buldozerman dozed my beautiful big deep lavender crape myrtle, even though the builder had PROMISEd me it owuld not be touched.

I dunno if I will ever get over that!

But I should be quiet about it, guess I have bored everyone else enough with that story.

I just joined in January and I am so glad I did. This is a
goldmine of wonderful, kind, generous, and patient people who happen to share the same interests.

I know you will love it here!

Hugs, Lavanda
