Hi Billy, I sure wish I had some to trade you but just got my first last week. LOL Starting off with a lutea and pink hindu. Can you tell me which are your favorites and what your most sought after varieties are? I am willing to check my local water nursery if there are some you cannot find.

LOL I still need to call. :) I am in the process of ripping out my pond and redoing it. Dog takes on cheap liner. Liner lost. I bought the REAL liner this time. Man! It sure looks huge spread on the ground. My pond was only 13x8, doing a bit of expanding and improving. he he he

Hi. I was shocked with some of my lotus this year. I needed to get a lutea for guy and all I had was some I started from seed last year. I turned the pot out on the ground and had probably 10 tubers in it. WOW. Not huge ones but dang good ones. Many growing tips on each one. So those who started lotus last year from seed will definatly have tubers this spring.

excellent, I'm glad to hear that!!!

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

I just this year, for the first time ever, started 5 lotus from seed, and they are all doing wonderfully.

I just had to drop a note, I was tickled to see them with their first little shoots sticking out of the seed LOL

Wonderful. It is going to be even more fun watching the grow for you this year. I have just received in some lotus from Japan, Malaysia, and some from the lotus that sprouted after 2000 years from China. I am really tickled about that one especially. The seed came from a child of the original lotus. So should really be something special. It is called "Ohga Hasu". Will post pictures along with the story behind the lotus.
